Flind.Girallon - the four armed gorillas are back.Giants - a special version of each of the giant types.Firenewts - from the old Fiend Folio, complete with Giant Striders to ride.Dinosaurs - Brontosaurus (yes, using the outdated name), Deinonychus, Dimetrodon, Hadrosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Stegosaurus, Velociraptor.Demons - Babau, Maw Demon, Shoosuva (I think all these have been in earlier editions).Deep Scion - another new one (I think), a shapechanging fish person formed from a drowning sailor who accepted a pact from an undersea power.Darklings - renamed from the old Dark Creeper and Dark Stalker from the Fiend Folio.Cranium Rats - originally from Planescape, I believe.Chitine & Choldrith - spider-person variants similar to Driders.Beholders - a couple of variants, the Death Kiss, the Gauth, and the Gazer.Barghest - interestingly they now prey on goblins rather than working with them.I don't recognise it from any earlier edition. Banderhobb - some kind of large frog-like shadow creature that's summoned to hunt and kidnap a victim.There's around a hundred monsters here, so obviously I'm only going to describe highlights. You can read and write Common and Auran, but you can speak only by using your Mimicry trait.So let's see what's in the monster section. Kenku have shorter lifespans than humans. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
